Import and synchronize existing user and group structures

Via the Active Directory integration, existing user and group structures can be adopted to Password Safe from their domains. The adoption is supposably easy and is done with a few clicks. Afterwards the imported users and groups can be used in Password Safe as usual. Furthermore an authentication of the users via the Active Directory is possible and increases safety at the access to the database. If there are new users or if there are any changes, they can be synchronized easily and quickly. Therefore the administration and maintenance of larger structures is made easier and saves time.

Simple adoption

Existing structures can be adopted easily with only a few clicks and changes can be synchronized comfortably later. Therefore groups and also individual users are quickly available in Password Safe.

Multi-domain-compatible

Also an environment with several different domains is supported (multi-domain-compatibility). The domains only need a position of trust and then you can work domain-comprehensive in Password Safe. Due to different domain profiles the data transfer can be done easily and quickly.

Automatic synchronization

Via the task service at the Enterprise Server an automatic synchronization can be carried out in the background. Comfortable time schedules give you the freedom to individually define the time for the synchronization. If there are new users or groups, they can optionally also be adopted automatically.

Authentication

The password of your employees is never saved at AD users. The authentication is always carried out live against the Active Directory. Also in the offline mode the authentication is made with the domain security token of the logged in user. Furthermore an automatic login (SSO) of the current domain user is possible.
A two-factor-authentication via certificates, smartcards and tokens is also possible. Therefore your existing PKI can also be used with Password Safe. (Only with Enterprise Server from version 6.4)

The Active Directory integration is available from the Enterprise Edition on. The automatic authentication of the users is only possible in combination with the Enterprise server.
