In the Professional Edition and higher the software is both network capable and multiuser capable and for a maxiumum of 20 users. This means that several users can work on the same database at the same time. For each user/computer a license is required (see licensing). This is a true network database and so there are no restrictions on day-to-day work in the team. Comprehensive network functions, such as automatic record locking, are also available. In the Enterprise Edition and higher you even have the option of an encrypted client/server connection through the new Enterprise Server without a user limitation.

Easily manage users and groups ...
User-friendly rights management lets you effortlessly manage groups and users. It is now also possible to assign groups and users with multiple selection. This saves a lot of time when administering approvals. It is now also possible to import existing structures from your company network for Password Safe by way of the link to Directory Services. Active Directory Integration is available in the Enterprise Edition and higher.

Manage rights and approvals ...
Password Safe's integrated rights and approvals management allows the assignment of rights from the folder to the record level. Inheritance of rights makes working with larger folder structures and many records enormously easier. You have the capability of issuing permission for the management of approvals to any groups or users. Thus, for example, a departmental head may only administer the approvals for his department.

Two pairs of eyes see more ...
The four-eyes principle has been added to the seal function, so that in future it will be possible to configure which members of staff must grant an approval before the seal can be broken. The approval users will be informed via the task or message of the request for the approval to break the seal, depending on the configuration. As soon as enough approvals for breaking the seal have been achieved, the initiator of the approval will be notified so that he can break the seal. All events will, of course, be logged so that it is possible at any time to trace back who has broken, requested or removed the seal. All seals applied and removed can be inspected again in the seal history.

Locking data records ...
Locking of data records has also been extended in the new version so that it is now possible to define who may lift the lock and who may use the record despite the lock, for password entry for instance. In this way the passwords cannot be viewed, but can be used for logging on to applications and web pages.

The Professional Edition also contains all the features of the Personal Edition and Standard Edition.
